About this roof repair referral service

Frankston Roof Repairs is an enquiry and referral website run by Yes Right Pty Ltd. How enquiries are handled and who is responsible for quotes and roof work.

Yes Right Pty Ltd (ABN 91 664 546 061) runs Frankston Roof Repairs as a place to lodge a roof enquiry. If you own, rent out or manage a house in Frankston or a nearby suburb and the roof is leaking, missing tiles or rusting, you describe the problem here and an independent roofer or roof plumber who covers your area can decide whether to take it on.

Yes Right is not a roofer, a roof plumber or a builder. It holds no plumbing licence and no building registration, has no roofing staff, and keeps no depot or yard in Frankston. The site carries no reviews, ratings or records of finished jobs. Photos are there to show what valley, ridge or tile work looks like, not to show a job that came through this site.

From enquiry to quote

  1. On the roof enquiry form, give your suburb and phone or email, then say what is wrong: where the water shows inside, whether the roof is tile or metal, and roughly how old it is.
  2. We may send those details to one independent provider who does that kind of roof work around Frankston.
  3. A provider who wants the job gets in touch, usually to ask for photos, more detail or a time to inspect.
  4. The quote, the start date, the price, how you pay and any warranty are settled directly between you and that provider.

Sending the form is not a booking. A provider may not be free, and we cannot say how soon anyone will reply. When a storm has opened the roof or brought a tree down onto it, call the State Emergency Service instead of relying on this form.

Who answers for the roof work

The provider who quotes inspects the roof, tells you what has failed, prices the fix, carries the licence or registration the job needs, sets up safe access at height and does the work to standard. If you disagree about workmanship, cost or timing, you take that up with the provider. Before work starts, get a written scope that lists materials, what is excluded and how any extra work found on the roof will be charged.

Roof plumbing or tiling: which licence to look for

Victoria regulates roof work through the Building and Plumbing Commission (BPC), which took over from the Victorian Building Authority on 1 July 2025. Which register you check depends on the part of the roof.

  • Metal sheets, flashings, valley irons, gutters and downpipes. Victoria classes this as roofing stormwater plumbing. The worker needs a registration or licence in the roofing (stormwater) class, and a compliance certificate can only come from a licensed plumber. The BPC explains the class on its roofing stormwater work page.
  • Terracotta or concrete tiles, and bigger building jobs. Tiling sits outside the plumbing class. Once a domestic job goes over the major domestic building contract threshold, it needs a registered builder and a written contract, and builder registration is on the same public register.

Put the provider’s name, trading name or licence number into the BPC’s Find and check a practitioner tool before signing. It tells you if the registration or licence is current, which work it covers and whether conditions apply. Past disciplinary and prosecution outcomes are listed on the BPC’s Compliance and Enforcement Register. The BPC’s own advice is not to take a business card, an advert or a verbal claim as proof.

Three more things to ask for: the provider’s public liability insurance details, an ABN on the quote that shows as active, and the name of the person who will actually be up on your roof if it is not the person quoting.
